Paul Fortune Design Studio
The Los Angeles–based talent designs with both a modern eye and a deference to the past. A tell-all monograph-cum-memoir detailing significant projects and stories from Fortune’s peregrinations through the beau monde. He has incredibly notorious clients such as Marc Jacobs, Sofia Coppola, Dasha Zhukova, Nate Ruess and Charlotte Ronson.
Aero Studios
The heart of Aero is the studio, a master design office that supports every aspect of O’Brien’s business. The studio covers three practices: architecture, interiors, and product design. These function in an interdisciplinary model, where crossover and collaboration are the rules rather than the exceptions among the office’s many types of projects. In architecture and interiors, O’Brien’s work is well documented. Residential commissions range from reconfigured lofts to formal apartments; historic country houses and modernist beach homes to new architectural additions and buildings.
Bestor Architecture
Since 1995, Bestor Architecture has actively redefined Los Angeles architecture with a practice that rigorously engages the city through design, art, and urbanism. Increasingly, the firm applies L.A.’s lessons to national undertakings. Projects such as Beats by Dre headquarters, Blackbirds small-lot housing development, and Intelligentsia café illustrate a continued exploration of architectural form through experimentation, research, and graphics.

Georgis & Mirgorodsky
The firm has designed and completed numerous residential, institutional, and commercial projects in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. These include new houses in Southampton, New York, the Bahamas, Montana, La Jolla, California, Aspen and New York City, the Tiffany Gallery at the Museum of the City of New York, The Grill and The Pool restaurants at New York’s Seagram Building, interiors of a Gulfstream G650 jet, and the renovation of the public spaces of the landmarked Lever House in New York City. In addition, the firm has completed the design of Manhattan condominium projects at 350 West Broadway, 530 Park Avenue and 100 East 53rd Street. Georgis & Mirgorodsky has also completed designs for the Gramercy Park Hotel and a line of furniture for Maison Gerard, New York.
Jan Showers
Dallas-based designer Jan Showers came to her signature style from diverse and unexpected inspirations, including movies and novels, contemporary and vintage fashion, art, architecture, fine antiques, and vintage pieces. Filtered through her unique sensibility, the culmination of these influences is usually summarized simply as “glamour.” It’s fitting then that Jan has written two books on the subject: Glamorous Rooms and her follow-up, Glamorous Retreats, both published by Abrams. Glamorous Rooms is now in its twelfth printing. Together, her books display a cross-section of the styles and decorative preferences that have made Jan and her firm one of the most important in the country.
Kelly Wearstler
Kelly Wearstler’s eponymous global luxury lifestyle brand is renowned for its distinctive designs and sophisticated soulful vibe pioneered by the celebrated interior designer. The brand’s breadth of influence spans from residential and commercial interior design to curated collections of furniture, lighting, rugs, fabrics and trims, wall coverings, luxe bedding, fine china, decorative home accessories, jewellery and objets d’art. With a signature style that juxtaposes raw with refined, melds colour, sophistication and spirited spontaneity, and seamlessly blends diverse periods of furniture under one roof, Wearstler has revolutionized the look, feel and meaning of modern American design.
Madison Cox Associates
Cox’s favourite gardens are just as eclectic, including Marrakech’s Foundation Jardin Majorelle (Cox, the garden’s longtime vice president, is its new director); Scotland’s Little Sparta; Ganna Walska Lotusland in Montecito, California; and the Mediterranean Garden Society’s Garden near Athens. Cox has only one professional hero, though: that would be the late, great Russell Page, the British garden grandee who counted Agnelli among his own devoted clients.
