Located in historic Greenwich Village, New York, this extensive reconstruction of an 1840s townhouse fuses past and present, traditional and contemporary design, into a new, luxurious 4,000 square foot home. The design firm achieved perfect harmony between historical and modern elements, creating a design inspiration meant to be lived and admired.
Fun fact: the industrial design project is also the first townhouse to earn a LEED for Homes Gold rating in downtown Manhattan.
BWArchitects created a great balance between classical features and industrial design details such as steel and glass windows which draw in natural light and air from the garden and, structural steel, and exposed manually geared hardware.
