Forbes has just recently released its list of star-award winners for 2021 and we live for it! Covering luxurious hotels all over the world, we bring to you today that same list so you can start preparing your next escapade! The list covers hotels from Japan to the USA, Bali, Scotland and Mexico!
Bali added two more five-star luxury hotels to the Forbest list – The St. Regis Bali Resort and The Mulia.
The St. Regis Bali Resort
The St. Regis Bali Resort has amazing suites and villas that stand out as a captivating oasis with private pools, gazebos and traditional Balinese decorative touches.
The Mulia is the embodiment of elegance and sophistication; the hotel has the longest and most stunning oceanfront infinity pool, with statues of women holding rice sheaves – a symbol of prosperty.
The four new luxury hotels in Japan to make it to the Forbes list are all located in Tokyo.
The Capitol Hotel
The Capitol Hotel is known for its privacy, exclusive location of being surrounded by the calm and rich greenery of Hie Shrine, being thus the choice for Japanese dignitaries and international VIP’s.
The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho
The Prince Gallery opened in July 2016 in the Kioi Tower, using seven of the thirty-six floors of the tower, located in the heart of the Kioicho district. The Prince has a contemporary design that uses Japanese artwork, signature furniture items and luxury materials to create warm, inviting spaces with privileged views of the city.
The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo
The Ritz-Carlton is located at the heart of Tokyo’s Midtown and has 53 floors – this location and height allo the luxurious hotel to have amazing views.
Takanawa Hanakhro is located inside the Grand Prince Takanawa and offers sixteen traditional inns. Also known as ryokan (floral-scented path), the Takanawa rooms are beautiful Japanese-style suites, each named for the flora found in the extensive garden of the property. This hotel-within-a-hotel has a fully immersive Japanese experience to offer.
Mexico added two more five-star options to the Los Cabos Hotels – The Chileno Bay Resort and the Esperanza.
The Chileno Bay Resort and Residences
The Chileno Bay Resort and Residences has a modern minimal design and is located in one of Los Cabo’s swimmable beaches.
Esperanza is the only private beach resort at Los Cabos; it is the number one choice for celebrities on vacation.
The first Scottish five-star hotel is located in Edinburgh. The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel, is located next to Edinburgh Waverley train station.
The Balmoral has a classic contemporary design, creating and environment where soaring ceilings, staircases and shimmering chandeliers meet furnishings with floral prints, soft pastel shades and amazing landscapes photographs.
USA and Canada
Four cities in the USA and once city in Canada have managed to enter the five-star luxury hotels for the first time.
Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia is located at the Comcast Centre towers, placed on the top twelve floors of Philadelphia’s tallest building. Designed by architect Norman Foster and artistic director Jeff Leatham, the hotel’s design is modern and sleek, with a warm and comfortable feeling.
Montage Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina

The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston
