By combining Stockholm Design Week and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, 2018’s Week 6 is now booked on the calendars of every single buyer, architect, designer and journalist from all over the world. With the trade fair as the main reference, the entire city will be swarming with around 200 events, installations and awesome parties. This year’s Design Week will also include a fantastically unique light installation in Kungsträdgården. The very-first Design Week was held in 2002, and the week has evolved to include today more than 200 design-related events scattered across the city. Many of the exhibitions are open to the general public.

“It is our ambition to make Stockholm the natural display window for Scandinavian design. We believe that it is very important for our visitors to get as positive a total experience from the week as possible. Design Week functions as a meeting place for the industry even outside of Stockholmsmässan’s halls. We are continuing to develop the week in cooperation with the City of Stockholm and the industry. For example, the design content of Design Week will be expanded to include fashion, food and architecture. I also hope that everyone interested in design will come to the fair on Saturday, the day it is open to the public, to see the most recent developments in design,” says Cecilia Nyberg, Event Manager for Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair and Stockholm Design Week.
