The kick-off to each day, presented by Frank A. Reinhardt, is a fixed item on the programme. Each morning, he will offer the audience a professional overview of the trends and buzzwords at IMM Cologne 2018. Frank A. Reinhardt is an industrial designer with a background in Business Administration. After working in product management for some years, Reinhardt simply wanted to publish an original observation. All at once, he found himself recruited in a freelance capacity and eventually as a freelance editor for such publications as SBZ and design report.

Sigurd Larsen on New DIY Perspectives

 

 

The architect and designer Sigurd Larsen wants to change the way people understand and perceive common home improvement store materials with his innovative design insights. In cooperation with Hornbach, he is continuing the Danish design tradition and reconnecting people with materials and design. The goal: to make design accessible to everyone. With a designer chair that you can´t buy, but have to build yourself – with materials from a home improvement superstore. In his lecture, Larsen talks about his idea of design for all and about the project with Hornbach.

Axel Venn on Colour Psychology and Practice for the Home
